Synthesis and Supercapacitive Properties of Carboxylated Graphene Oxide -Polyaniline/Polypyrrole Nanocomposites
An innovative electrode materials based on carboxylated graphene oxide-polyaniline/polypyrrole (GO-COOPANI/PPY) composites was developed via Hummers mothod, hard template and in-situ polymerization methods. The screening of materials and optimizing of mass ratios for GO-COOPANI/GO-COOPPY were first conducted in detail. And then the electrochemical performs of as-prepared composites were investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), galvanostatic charge-discharge, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cycle life. The results of CV showed that the as-prepared GO-COOPANI/GO-COOPPY (hybrid with m(PANI)/m(PPY) =7:3) nanocomposite exhibited excellent electrochemical performance and ideal capacitive behavior. The galvanostatic charge-discharge measurements demonstrate that hybrid (7:3) modified electrode possessed a maximum specific capacitance of 515 F g(-1) at current density of 1.0 A g(-1), which is much higher than that of single carboxylated GO nanocomposites. The results of EIS and cycle life further prove better conductivity and excellent cyclic stability of hybrid (7:3) in contrast to other nanocomposites. Therefore, the as-synthesized hybrid (7:3) nanocomposite as an electrode material for supercapacitors has broad prospects. (C) 2018 The Electrochemical Society.
