Synthesis and crystal structure of bis [2-(3-(2-((2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino)ethyl)oxazolidin-2-yl)phenol]ceriu m (iv) 1,4-dioxane monosolvate
The metal complex, bis [2-(3-(2-((2-hydroxybenzylidene)amino)ethyl)oxazolidin-2-yl)phenol]cerium (IV) 1,4-dioxane monosolvatewas synthesized and characterized by infrared, H-1 NMR, elemental analysis, single-crystal, and powder X-ray diffraction. The coordination polyhedra of cerium shows a distorted square-antiprismatic geometry. No classical hydrogen bonds were observed. The crystal packing was influenced by weak C-H center dot center dot center dot O (intermolecular) and van der Waals interactions.
