An efficient preparation method of RGO/ZnIn2S4 for photocatalytic hydrogen generation under visible light
A series of RGO/ZnIn2S4 photocatalysts were successfully synthesized using ZnIn2S4 with different graphene oxide (GO) sources (GO-S, GO-O, GO-V) and characterized by various analysis techniques, such as UV-Vis, XRD, SEM, BET, Raman and PL. It was found that the properties of these photocatalysts greatly depended on the GO source and amount. The photocatalytic H-2 evolution activities of these catalysts have also been evaluated under visible-light irradiation. When the GO source was GO-S and the GO amount was 0.1 wt%, the activity reached 1210 mu mol g(-1) h(-1) and the apparent quantum yield (420 nm) determined to be 17.49%. On the basis of the characterization of the catalysts, the effect of the preparation method of (RGO)/ZnIn2S4 on the photocatalytic activity of RGO/ZnIn2S4 was discussed in detail.
