Molecular Bottlebrushes order-disorder transition에 미치는 Poly(4-vinylpyridine)의 분자량 및 용매의 영향
Effects of Molecular Weight of Poly(4-vinylpyridine) and Solvent on the Order-disorder Transition of Molecular Bottlebrushes
The order-disorder transition temperature(TODT) in self-organized comblike copolymer by hydrogen-bonding between homopolymer main chain and amphiphilic oligomer side chain has been investicated. Both molecular weight and solvent effects on complexes of poly(4-vinylpyridine) and 3-pentadecylphenol were investigated. Under cooling, mesomorphic and self-assembly structures have been observed by polarized optical microscopy at lower solvent concentration. As increasing the molecular weight of P4VP 104V<105, the TODT increased. Solvents effect on the mesomorphic structure changed the TODT. The endotherm peak of DSC was observed at the TODT.
