Facile synthesis of uniform flower-like V2O5 hierarchical architecture for high-performance Li-ion battery
In this paper, a facile and template-free solvothermal method has been developed to synthesize flower-like V2O5 hierarchical architecture. The as-synthesized V2O5 samples are composed of discrete and uniform micro-flower, which is further assembled from several nanosheets. Importantly, the as-synthesized flower-like V2O5 hierarchical architecture exhibits an excellent electrochemical performance. At the rate of 0.1 C, these V2O5 flowers deliver a high specific capacity of 285 mA h g(-1) the first discharge and retain reversible capacity of 249 mA h g(-1) after 50 cycles. Meanwhile, even at a high rate of 5 C, they also exhibit a specific capacity of 152 mA h g(-1) and the cycling retention rate is 86% after 50 cycles. (C) 2014 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved.
