Analysis of Parameters Relative to Weak Adsorption from Voltammetric Data
A general equation for voltammetric response is derived in the case where adsorption may be influenced by potential and the ratio b(O)/b(R) not equal 1 of adsorption coefficients of oxidized and reduced species. A set of data [H,E] is obtained from the linear relation of the current function psi vs. nu(-1/2) at the same potential, then parameters relative to the weak adsorption are analyzed using non-linear least-squares regression. Non-linear behavior of the regression model is discussed, how to choose the parametric forms of non-linear regression model is expounded, and the model is applied to electrochemical oxidation of epinephrine.
