Electrochemical Reduction of SO2Cl2 Cell
The Electrochemical reduction of sulfuryl chloride has been studied extensively because of high power density primary batteries. Kinetic parameters of electrochemical reduction for the Sulfuryl chloride at glassy carbon electrode is investigated by cyclic voltammetry technique. Diffusion coefficient(D0) of sulfuryl chloride reduction is observed to 1.36×10-8 cm2/s in the LiAlC14/SO2Cl2 electrolyte solution. Also exchange rate constant (K0) is observed to 8.36×10-6 cm/s.
