Simultaneous estimation of heat transfer boundary conditions during one-sided spray cooling
The determination of the thermal boundary conditions is critical in mathematical models of spray cooling processes and, therefore, has been the subject of several experimental efforts. In this work, the thermal boundary conditions for spray cooling have been estimated simultaneously by solving the inverse heat conduction problem (IHCP). The results were validated by comparing simulated thermal responses computed with the estimated thermal boundary conditions against experimentally measured values. The effect of the cold front that advances from the sprayed surface was reflected on the values of the heat transfer coefficient for the non-sprayed surface.
