Preparation of siRNA Carrier Based on Boronic Acid-functionalized Amphiphilic Poly(gamma-glutamic acid) Nanoparticles
Boronic acid-grafted amphiplailic poly(gamma-glutamic acid) was (a) successfully synthesized with carbodiimide. These copolymers could form 200-nn-sized monodispersed nanoparticles (NPs). These NPs were stable in saline and could efficiently load small interfering RNA (siRNA) in a dose-dependent manner at about 80% efficiency. These results demonstrated that the polymer chemistry could contribute to the development of siRNA-based gene therapies.
