Phase diagram for the Na2O-Al2O3-H2O system at 130 degrees C
A phase diagram for the Na2O-Al2O3-H2O system at 130 degrees C is presented in this paper using Schreinemaker's method. The compositions of the clear liquid and the wet solids were analyzed by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry (ICP-AES). The equilibrium solids are aluminum hydroxide (Al2O3 center dot H2O), sodium aluminum hydroxide (Na2O center dot Al2O3 center dot 2.5H(2)O), and sodium aluminum oxide (Na2O center dot Al2O3) in the different alkali concentration regions.
