Bubble-point measurement for CO2 plus vinyl acetate and CO2 plus vinyl acrylate systems at high pressures
High-pressure phase behaviors are obtained for CO2 + vinyl acetate systems at (40, 60, 80, 100, and 120) C and pressures up to 127 bar and for CO2 + vinyl acrylate systems at (45, 65, 85, 105, and 125) degreesC and pressures up to 138 bar. The solubility of CO2 for the CO2 + vinyl acetate and CO2 + vinyl acrylate systems decreases as the temperature increases at constant pressure. The CO2 + vinyl acetate and CO2 + vinyl acrylate systems exhibit type-I phase behavior with a continuous mixture-critical curve. The experimental results for CO2 + vinyl acetate and CO2 + vinyl acrylate systems were modeled using the Peng-Robinson equation of state. A good fit of the data was obtained with the Peng-Robinson equation with no adjustable parameters for the CO2 + vinyl acetate system and with two adjustable parameter for the CO2 + vinyl acrylate system.
