Effects of the preparation method on the crystallinity and catalytic activity of LaAlO <inf>3</inf> perovskites for oxidative coupling of methane
2018, Applied Surface ScienceCitation Excerpt :We assumed that the difference in the catalytic activities of the prepared LaAlO3 catalysts has a strong influence on their degree of crystallinity; therefore, special attention was given to the very different XRD peak intensities that resulted from these different preparation methods. The citrate sol-gel method is a well-known typical preparation method for various mixed metal-oxide catalysts in which metal cations in an aqueous solution of a metal precursor and the carboxyl groups of citric acid form complex compounds [30–32]. These complexes result in a uniform precursor solution and yield a mixed metal-oxide catalyst with high homogeneity and crystallinity.
Preparation and characterization of nickel loaded on resin char as tar reforming catalyst for biomass gasification
2017, Journal of Analytical and Applied PyrolysisEffect of transition metal on stability and activity of La-Ca-M-(Al)-O (M = Co, Cr, Fe and Mn) perovskite oxides during partial oxidation of methane
2017, International Journal of Hydrogen EnergyCitation Excerpt :In the reduction atmosphere during POM, perovskites decompose into a catalytically active mixture of oxides with finely dispersed metal particles on the surface [12]. Strong metal-support interaction between reduced Ni and oxide support (Ca-Sr-Ti-O) increased the catalytic activity and stability of the catalyst since it retarded the coke formation [18]. A similar effect was also described for cobaltites.

2015, International Journal of Hydrogen EnergyCitation Excerpt :Among metals explored, like Ni, Co, Pt, Rh, etc, Ni appears to be the most suitable choice for both technical and economic reasons [5]. It has been demonstrated that if a strong nickel–support interaction exists initially in the catalyst, nickel sintering, as well as carbon deposition can be avoided [6,7]. Furthermore, supports play an important role in catalytic activity due to their probable chemical effect, besides their interaction with the active phase.
