적용 To produce n-butyraldehyde from propylene and syngas (carbon monoxide/hydrogen) using the Rh oxo process of Hoechst/Rhone-Poulenc.
설명 Description: Propylene reacts (1) with syngas in the presence of a water-soluble rhodium complex forming n-butyraldehyde and a small amount of iso-butyraldehyed (n/i ratio 95:5). The catalyst solution is separated (2) from the oxo raw product and recycled to the reactor.
   By stripping (3) the oxo product with fresh syngas the unconverted propylene is removed from the product and recycled to the oxo reactor.
   In distillation (4), n- and iso-butyraldehyde are obtained.

Yields: Per 1,000 kg propylene (100%), 1,573 kg n-butyraldehyde and 83 kg isobutyraldehyde are obtained.
